A Railway Porter
A railway porter is a very common figure in almost all the railway stations. He is very hard-working. Usually, he is very poor. He earns his bread by carrying the luggage of the passengers travelling by trains . He helps them taking the luggage in and out of the train. He is a poor day labourer who lives on this way. He wears a poor dress, usually a trouser or lungi. Sometimes, he disturbs the passengers as he pulls the luggage to carry it. There are many porters and they insist on for grabbing (CY GR/C ) the luggage. Sometimes, the passengers pay them less than what is reasonable. They are often beaten by the leaders of porters. They live a very miserable life. They can hardly manage their family who live in the nearby slums . The authority should give them opportunity to live a better life.
